Love & Compromise
Somewhere down the line, we were convinced and left believing that Love is about compromising one self... As Womyn the word compromise is one of the most common words to roll of the tongue, we are socialised to believe that if we dont compromise in our relationships whether they be intimate, professional or otherwise, we are "selfish" , a "bitch" , "dominating", "overbearing" and "unyeilding". Eartha's words resonate deeply, "I fall in love with myself , and I want someone to share it with me, I want someone to share me with me" Often we give so much, and compromise so much of ourselves and our needs, that there is nothing left for ourselves, Love is Equality, it's Understanding, Freedom, Honesty and trust.
